Saturday’s Games

(2-5) Vegas Vipers at (5-2) St. Louis BattleHawks
(BattleHawks by 7 – 46/5 O/U) St. Louis remains a powerhouse in the league and is still in contention to make the XFL playoffs. They can ill afford a letdown loss by overlooking the Vipers this week. Vegas has proven over the past couple of weeks they can hang with any team in this league, but where they falter is down the stretch. St. Louis is a well balanced squad on both sides of the ball and if they can play 60 minutes of focused and disciplined football, they should have little trouble getting their 6th win of this season to keep the pressure on DC and Seattle as this season concludes… BattleHawks by 14/Under.

(3-4) Arlington Renegades at (1-6) Orlando Guardians
(Guardians by 1.5 – 42 O/U) Neither team is playing very inspired ball this season. Orlando caught DC napping on them last week and secured the likely upset win of the 2023 season. This week, they actually look like the better squad with their team finally starting to gel. Arlington remains in the playoff chase in the XFL South, but with San Antonio on their heels, and Orlando ju win from being a game back, a win this week by the Renegades would heighten their odds of making the playoffs. Unfortunately, Orlando is firing on higher cylinders heading in into this contest and should secure their 2nd win of this season… Guardians by 4/Over.

Sunday’s Games

(4-3) Houston Roughnecks at (2-5) San Antonio Brahmas
(Roughnecks by 5 – 41 O/U) Houston has imploded over the past three weeks after an impressive 5-0 start to the season. San Antonio continues to struggle this season with a couple of sporadic wins, but very little confidence can be found within this squad heading into this game. They are mathematically alive in the XFL South playoff race and an upset win would place them a game back of Houston. Houston has to fight off their loss of confidence along with the Brahmas eyeballing the upset at home. They should have little trouble getting back on track this week if they can play 60 minutes of disciplined football on Sunday… Roughnecks by 9/Over.

(6-1) DC Defenders at (5-2) Seattle Sea Dragons
(Sea Dragons by 2 – 47.5 O/U) Game of the Week. This could be the game of the season for the XFL North. We predicted prior to this season that this matchup would ultimately decide the fate of the XFL North playoff chase. DC allowed Orlando to expose their weaknesses on both sides of the ball last week, resulting win the worst upset of the season. Seattle has been on fire, posting five wins after an unimpressive 0-2 start to this season. They have the talent and skills to win the XFL North this season and will need to utilize that for the big win at home. The spread makes sense and might be right on target for this contest. This will be a classic shoot out with the defense that forces the most turnovers winning this game… (Sea Dragons by 5/Over)
