Thursday Night Game

(4-0) Houston Roughnecks at (2-2) Seattle Sea Dragons
(Roughnecks by 3 – 41.5 O/U) Seattle has the talent to pull off the upset, and following two wins, they also have the confidence to match their impressive talent. Houston is just a beast on both sides of the field, and any team looking to notch a win away from their belt will need to play the perfect game for 60 minutes, limit unforced errors, and maintain discipline. Seattle has shown the past two weeks they can hang with any team in this league and that will include the Roughriders. This should be a shootout with the better defensive unit pulling off the win down the stretch… Roughnecks by 6/Over.

Saturday Night Games

(4-0) DC Defenders at (3-1) St. Louis BattleHawks
(Defenders by 2 – 42 O/U) Game Of The Week. St. Louis can take control of the North Division with a win on Saturday. However, that win will be anything but easy as they they square off against arguably the best team in the league. DC is a juggernaut on both sides of the ball and will keep bringing it throughout this contest. St. Louis’ offense has been suspect despite their 3-1 record and those concerns will be targeted by the Defenders’ defense. St. Louis defense can hang with any team in this league, but it’s the divide between offenses that will decide this contest… Defenders by 10/Over.

(0-4) Orlando Guardians at (0-4) Vegas Vipers
(Vipers by 7.5 – 42 O/U) Losses are losses regardless of who each team has played this season. Vegas’ losses have been due to lack of talent and undisciplined play, along with poor coaching and conditioning. The spread is grossly overstated for the contest as neither squad holds any true advantage due to both having equal amount of concerns on differing areas of the field. One area that may be a deciding factor is the Guardian’s pass game is beginning to wake up and showing some form of life the past two weeks. Their defense is still suspect but improving. Vegas also struggles to close out games and allows their opponents to take control of the game late as seen in week one. That coupled with their unimproved lack of discipline on the field has us looking the other way in this contest… Upset Special… Guardians by 3/Over.

(2-2) Arlington Renegades at (1-3) San Antonio Brahmas
(Brahmas by 2.5 – 35.5 O/U) As with last week’s contest, Arlington’s suspect areas on both sides of the field with be on display in this contest. San Antonio is a far better team than their 1-3 record indicates and they should move into second place in the South Division following a win this Sunday night. It will take the perfect 60 minute game from the Renegades to stay above .500 and the likelihood is very low with the Brahmas playing at home. We don’t expect this to be the contest the spread is indicating… Brahmas by 9/Over.
