Saturday Night Games
(3-0) Houston Roughnecks at (0-3) Orlando Guardians
(Roughnecks by 8.5 – 37.5 O/U) Houston is this best team in the XFL South and their opponent this week is the worst team in the XFL South. They should have no trouble walking away with their 4th win, but if you’re Orlando, you have to be hoping the Roughnecks enter this game overlooking them which could create the fantasy upset at home. By fantasy we mean that literally, as this game shouldn’t be close… Roughnecks by 17/Over.
(1-2) San Antonio Brahmas at (1-2) Seattle Sea Dragons
(Sea Dragons by 4.5 – 40.5 O/U) Seattle finally came to life as expected last week and while they face a tougher opponent this week, they still possess the talent to leave this contest with their second win of this season. San Antonio’s Brahmas are no slouches in their own respects and could walk away from this game with the upset win. They will need to keep Seattle’s offense off-balanced for the full 60 minutes, which is possible.
Seattle’s defense will determine the outcome of this game. If they come out playing poorly as they did in the opening two weeks, San Antonio could make this an ugly game. Fortunately, their defense has gelled and the chemistry is showing on the field. Seattle also has one big advantage over the Brahmas and that’s the Brahmas secondary isn’t very efficient, nor is their overall pass rush, so expect a big game from DiNucci… Sea Dragons by 6/Over.
Sunday Afternoon Game
(2-1) Arlington Renegades at (2-1) St. Louis BattleHawks
(BattleHawks by 4 – 36.5 O/U) Game of the Week. This contest may appear even on paper, or in the reflection of each team’s record, but it’s not as evenly matched at Vegas is displaying with the spread. Arlington’s offense has been able to throw up some points during the first few weeks, but they have yet to face a dominant defense, which is exactly what they will encounter Sunday afternoon. St. Louis’ offense has been spotty at times, but that shouldn’t be an issue against the Renegades softer defense. Arlington will have trouble throughout this contest trying to score against the BattleHawks stingier defense. They should have a few chances to score, but not many, which on the flip side St, Louis should have little trouble moving the ball down field against the Renegade’s defense… BattleHawks by 13/Over.
Sunday Night Game
(0-3) Vegas Vipers at (3-0) DC Defenders
(Defenders by 6 – 40.5 O/U) This game should be a complete mismatch on both sides of the field. Vegas can score, but they face the best defense in the league in terms of overall production. DC should be relentless against the Vipers’ defense and this game does have the possibility of being a blowout win. The only thing the Vipers can do is hope the Defenders enter this contest cocky and undisciplined, that’s the only way they can steal a huge upset win against the best team in the XFL… Defenders by 17/Over.
