Thursday Night Game
(1-0) St. Louis BattleHawks at (0-1) Seattle Sea Dragons
(Sea Dragons by 4 – 38 O/U) A solid prime time matchup of two of the best teams in the North Division. St. Louis’ defense lived up to their hype last week and their offense was on full display. Expect nothing different from both in this matchup. Seattle suffered a bit of a surprising loss last week and will be looking to make a statement in this game. They have the offensive tools to score on the BattleHawks defense, but their own defense has to live up to their full potential to get the big win at home. This could be a high scoring game since both teams have a very high powered offense. Prime time week two in the XFL relaunch… Sea Dragons by 6/Over.
Saturday Night Game
(1-0) DC Defenders at (0-1) Vegas Vipers
(Vipers by 3 – 35 O/U) Vegas showed flashes last week, but ultimately their weaknesses were exploited and they walked away with a tough loss. DC is arguably the top team in the North Division and has plenty of talent and players at skilled positions to give the Vipers fits for the full 60 minutes. Vegas will have to play the perfect game to hand Vegas the upset they are predicting with this spread. While it is possible, the Defenders have too much talent in this matchup… Upset Special… Defenders by 10/Over.
Sunday Afternoon Game
(0-1) San Antonio Brahmas at (0-1) Orlando Guardians
(Brahmas by 3 – 38 O/U) San Antonio heads to the City Beautiful looking to avenge last week’s defeat. They play a Guardians team that has plenty of veteran leadership, but their lack of speed and aged skills sets showed in their defeat last week. Orlando will have to find someway to exploit the Brahmas, as they are outmatched at nearly every position. San Antonio has to play focused and disciplined ball to avoid another costly upset if they wish to keep the pressure on Houston in the South Division. Orlando may keep it close if the can go give 150% for 60 minutes… Brahmas by 7/Over.
Sunday Night Game
(1-0) Arlington Renegades at (1-0) Houston Roughnecks
(Roughnecks by 5 – 40 O/U) Arlington nearly gave up the upset win to Vegas last week, but managed to hold on for their first win of the season. Houston had little trouble showing their dominance on both sides of the ball with their win last week. Houston has far more skill set talent at key positions, and should have little trouble exploiting the Renegades defense. Arlington’s offense can produce, but the Roughnecks defense is a beast compared to the Vipers defense, and this is where the game will ultimately be decided… Roughnecks by 14/Over.
